The UCM has started Phase Five with 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania', but what many are unaware of is that the third installment starring Scott Lang has a scene that is actually from 'Loki 2'.
In 'Quantumania' we meet Kang the Conqueror, Marvel's new great villain (played by Jonathan Majors) on the big screen for the first time before he is the main antagonist in 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty'. 'Ant-Man 3' has two post-credit scenes, one in the middle and one with which the film ends, and in both of them Kang appears.

The Quantum Realm was created from various sources of inspiration drawn upon by the film's creative team. The filmmakers were inspired by the works of the Italian cartoonist and illustrator Sergio Toppi, the Argentine artist Tomás Saraceno and the American architect Lebbeus Woods. In turn, they took as reference electron microscope images and the theory of subatomic particles. Conceptually, Htay designed the Quantum Realm as an infinite canvas of space with interconnecting points and nodes that become worlds and landscapes unto themselves with different creatures.
Director Peyton Reed, for his part, says that he extensively reviewed science fiction books from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, by artists such as John Harris, Paul Laird, Richard M. Powers, and was especially inspired by their covers.
